The MultiplexAI Diagnostic System is a low-cost, scalable AI solution that transforms any standard optical microscope into an autonomous diagnostic tool capable of detecting and differentiating multiple parasites from a single sample.
By integrating computer vision and advanced AI models, it delivers rapid, accurate, and offline-enabled diagnoses, significantly enhancing diagnostic efficiency and access at the point of care — especially in resource-limited settings.

I am responsible for commercializing this research concept, developed by Spotlab Madrid and the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), Spain, across four African countries.
As part of the MultiplexAI Consortium, we have secured a €4.9 million Horizon Europe grant to advance this innovation and expand global access to affordable, AI-powered diagnostics.
