ACROBAT Newborns

ACROBAT Newborns is an affordable, portable, and rapid point-of-care diagnostic test that quantifies sTREM-1 levels from just a drop of blood, enabling clinicians to stratify patient risk within 10 minutes.
Using an intuitive traffic-light interpretation system, it helps prioritize treatment and clinical decisions, particularly in resource-limited healthcare settings where speed and accuracy are critical.

I am responsible for commercializing this research concept, developed by the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), Spain, across four African countries.
As part of the ACROBAT Consortium, we have secured a €4.8 million Horizon Europe grant to scale this innovation and bring life-saving diagnostics closer to the point of need.
